[no] time too loose - Hana Kolić, Mathilde Ceuppens & ZOZ
PERFORMANCE/CONCERT/WORK IN PROGRESS
Mathilde Ceuppens and Hana Kolić grew a common interest in performing while researching the possibilities of training their bodies and presence in Danscentrumjette - Brussels.
Our thoughts cross (or) meet in movement, poetry and conversation.
With this growing intimacy and shared curiosity, the ball started rolling into a joint-force action through PLATEAU 22 festival, submerged by the sound of ZOZ*.
Brought together by a genuine desire fueled by gut and instinct - sometimes disrupted by "machines" lives and societal norms -
the creative process is the creation in itself. O
Same but different, we complement (or) contrast each other's words, movement and visions.
Imagining
if
time is THICK
like fries with no crust – raw
circular space
how can we use
can we use
how
easy – what is
driving the machine
slow as[s]
possible
[no] time too loose
*ZOZ is Brussels’ most recent Dub / Percussive noise outfit consisting of Sagat and Weird Dust. They experiment with rhythmical structures emphasising the unhinging of circular balanced polymeters.
Think shredded percussive shapes on top of a corroded sub bass framework.
OR: “What starts out as triumph soon becomes finessed into a carnival of distress,
leaving only a sense of nihilism and the dawn of a new synthesis as hope soon
becomes corrupted into a manifesto of defeat."
