WORKS IN PROGRESS

Pierre BastinPorous

15:00-15:45 and 20:00-20:45

‘Porous’ draws inspiration from different aspects of ecological movements. From exploring ideas coming out of the book ‘Manière d’être vivant’ of Baptiste Morizot to using our experiences within civil disobedience actions, this duet explores how we can relate in a world that lost its sensitivity. By exploring on how we can connect with ourselves and with others, we explore different ways that are existing to find sensitivity and knowledge. This duet takes a lose format of a book performance. Text and dance are mixed, trying to make sense of an unreadable future.

Jenneke Slaetsblur
21:00-21:30

blur is a performance installation about order, disorder and time. Through a minimalist approach, blur is an attempt to zoom in on the moment when order turns into disorder and vice versa. It presents the exploration on how structure, needs chaos to develop into a new structure. Jenneke's artistic research focuses on how time can be made visible through movement. What happens in between two movements? How do movements flow into each other?

Jonathan van der Horst - Aquí

14:00-14:45, 16:00-16:45 and 20:00-20:45
Aquí is a meditation on what it means to be here and yet always a little bit there. A moment of stillness in an ever faster moving world. An imaginary journey to the other side of the world. Your T-shirt from Bangladesh, your smartphone from Congo, your disposable coffee cup from Peru.
Aquí is a guided group meditation in a third wave specialty coffee shop.Together we drink the extract of reality, the elixir of history. Feel the world flowing through your veins. Point your ears and it will reveal itself. Aquí is coming to a place near you..

Rosslyn WythesCanon For One
17:15-18:15 and 21:00-22:00

Canon For One is a solo about our relationship to ourselves. It is a performance by Rosslyn Wythes and the many versions of herself. She dances alongside herself, against herself, inside and on top of her own image. Miniature Rosslyns and giant Rosslyns, are sped up and slowed down in an attempt to recapture herself, retrace previous experiences, and transform herself. These relationships are interlocking loops that make an inner dialogue, and the fundamental paradoxes of identity. Reflection and contemplation untangles the threads of self-judgement and social isolation and she weaves them into a new tapestry of co-existence and interdependence.
